These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the website operated by Hawkins Comprehensive LLC, doing business as Design Psychiatry™ (“Practice,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Informational Purpose Only
The content provided on this website is for informational and educational purposes only.
Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, psychiatric diagnosis, or treatment. Use of this website does not establish a physician–patient relationship.
2. Establishment of Physician–Patient Relationship
A physician–patient relationship is established only after:
- Completion of intake procedures
- Mutual agreement to treatment
- Execution of required consent documents
- Confirmation that the patient is physically located in a state where the physician is licensed at the time services are rendered
Submitting a contact form, sending an email, scheduling an inquiry, or participating in an informational call does not establish a physician–patient relationship.
3. Clinical and Non-Clinical Services
Clinical Services
Psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, and medication management are provided only to patients physically located in states where the physician is licensed.
Non-Clinical Services
The Practice may provide educational consultation, research synthesis, speaking, business/program development, professional consultation, and family/caregiver educational consultations.
Non-clinical services are educational and advisory in nature and do not constitute medical care or establish a physician–patient relationship.
4. Use of SimplePractice Platform
Design Psychiatry™ uses SimplePractice LLC (“SimplePractice”) as its electronic health record system, scheduling system, telehealth platform, secure messaging platform, and client portal provider.
When you:
- Submit a contact form
- Schedule an appointment
- Access the client portal
- Participate in telehealth
- Complete intake documentation
you may be interacting with systems operated by SimplePractice.
SimplePractice is an independent third-party technology provider. It maintains its own:

- Terms of Service
The SimplePractice Client Portal Privacy Policy is available at:

SimplePractice’s handling of Client Personal Information within its Client Portal is governed by its own Privacy Policy and by its agreements with healthcare providers, including HIPAA Business Associate Agreements.
Your use of SimplePractice-hosted services may be subject to SimplePractice’s separate policies in addition to these Terms.
The Practice is not responsible for the independent policies, operational practices, or security architecture of SimplePractice.
5. Intellectual Property
All website content is the property of Hawkins Comprehensive LLC unless otherwise stated.
Design Psychiatry™ is a trademark of Hawkins Comprehensive LLC.
No content may be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
Use of this website is at your own risk.
The Practice is not liable for:
- Reliance on website information
- Technical interruptions
- Third-party platform failures
- Indirect or consequential damages
